Soft Tissue Surgery

We perform many types of soft tissue surgeries at our clinic. Soft tissue surgeries are those that are not associated with bone. These surgeries can provide many benefits to pets.

Probably the most common soft tissue surgery performed on pets is the removal of masses or lumps. Most of these masses, once removed and tested, are found to be benign (nonharmful); however, occasionally they are more serious. Early removal and accurate diagnosis of a lump are necessary to improve the outcome in your pet if the mass is cancerous.

Our Soft Tissues Surgeries include:

  • Surgeries of the eye including ulcer treatment, distichia (inappropriately growing hair), entropion (rolled in the tissue around the eye)
  • Surgeries of the abdomen
  • Intestinal: Cancer, blockages and re-sections, diagnostic biopsies
  • Spleen and Liver: Removal, biopsies, and cancer treatment
  • Bladder: Stone removal, resection, biopsy
  • General abdomen assessment, biopsy, treatment. Infection management
  • Reproductive tract: Pyometra (uterine infection), spay and neuter, pregnancy complications, cryptorchidism
  • Surgeries of the skin and mouth
  • Lump, bump, and tumor removal
  • Wound management, skin debridement
  • Skin flaps and re-sections
